Now it's Your Turn to be the Wolf!

When ever I find myself sifting through used books I always pick up anything fairy tale related... I love adding to that collection.  I love original versions of stories and twisted or fractured tales.  It's all great fun to me.  And, since this week we're talking 'Little Pig Little Pig' check out all of these other 'The Three Little'... books out there waiting for me to find.  I haven't read all of these ones yet- but I want to. They all look like such fun!

The Three Little Aliens and the Big Bad Robot by Margaret McNamara; does this not look awesome???
The Three Little Fish And The Big Bad Shark by Will Grace; ummm, my kids are crazy for anything fish related.
The Three Little Tamales by Eric A Kimmel; food is the main character?  Count me in!
The Three Little Rigs by David Gordon; rigs?  rigs?  I must read.
The 3 Little Dassies by Jan Brett; everything Jan Brett needs to belong to me.
The Three Little Gators by Helen Ketteman; I want this one to be all cajun style.
The Three Little Javelinas by Susan Lowell; does anyone else remember this one from Reading Rainbow?  Cause I do.
Three Little Dinosaurs by Jim Harris; we have read this one, and the boys loved it.  Too bad it was taken out of circulation at my library!

NOW, check out this little gem we did get ahold of...

Huff & Puff: Can You Blow Down the Houses of the Three Little Pigs? by Claudia Rueda.

This is one of those super simple interactive books.  It's perfect perfect perfect for the 2 & 3 year old crowd.  You see, YOU get to be the Big Bad Wolf.  Here's Miss Kitten huffing & puffing away.  I can't tell you how many times she's asked to read this book since we borrowed it.  One of the reasons I love books like this so much is that while they are developmentally perfect for littles like Kitten, my bigger boys get a kick out of them too.  So there's been some sibling reading and sharing going on with this book.  SCORE!
Happy Huffing & Puffing!  ;)
