The most delicious cookies and some scrumptious books too!

Okay, a local grocer in my parent's town sells these cookies.  They are a called brownie pillow cookies dipped in milk chocolate truffle.  Take a look...

Yes! Its a brownie encased in a cookie and then dipped in chocolate! Oh my taste buds!  I love these things! Love them!  My waistline is extremely lucky that they do not make these in my town. Extremely, extremely lucky!

But, I must know, how do they do it? How do they get the brownie perfectly surrounded by cookie?  Do any of you know? Have you made these?  Though, I don't really think it would be wise for me to know how to make them.

Yum yummy yum yum!  Oh right,  I mentioned something about books there in the title.  Here are some cute and clever cookie books to tide you over until the pillow cookie mystery is solved.

The Moon Might Be Milk by Lisa Shulman
The Cow Loves Cookies by Karma Wilson
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (of course) by Laura Joffe Numeroff
The Best Mouse Cookie  a board book by the Numeroff/Bond team

The library might be the easiest place to find these...
No More Cookies!  by Paeony Lewis
The Last Chocolate Cookie by Jamie Rix

Also, Amy Krouse Rosenthal has a lovely little series of books centered around cookies. They are illustrated by the lovely Jane Dyer and will probably be featured in their own post at some point (fyi) but click the link for a sneak peek until then.

So, to sum up: I'm obsessed with cookies, yep that's pretty much it! Happy reading!

PS- Be prepared for more cookie posts because I didn't even touch the gingerbread cookie book world here, or Christmas cookie books. Seriously, there are ALOT of books about cookies out there, which is fine by me!
