Stump the Daddy!

Hi, so I know that having the kids make pizza is not a new activity, nor was I planning to post said un-new activity when I was making pizza with the kids last night.  But then...THEN! The kids came up with a new twist which they totally loved! (As you may have guessed from the post title, it's about stumping daddy.)

1- Everyone make your own personal, one-of-a-kind pizza...

2-Stare at it while it cooks. That will make it cook faster...

3- Find a good sport who happens to be hungry and willing to eat blindfolded (dads work great for this role)...
4- Have that person eat a piece of each pizza and try to guess the mystery ingredients and which kid made it.

Oh how the girls loved this! As soon as he came in the door they wanted him blindfolded. Actually, I have a feeling they are going to try to get him to eat blindfolded and guess stuff about the food at every meal now.

Wanna make a day of it? Here's a couple pizza books we like that you could read before or after 'the great pizza tasting.'

Pete's a Pizza by William Steig: Great silly book which is so fun to act out! My kids always want me to make them into a pizza after we read this one.
The Little Red Hen (Makes a Pizza) by Philomen Sturges: A twist on the classic tale
Pizza for the Queen by Nancy F. Castaldo: It's based on the story of how the Margherita pizza came to be. It's also the book that set Lilac in a 'lets make our own pizza from scratch' mood the other week. (There is a recipe in the back of the book.)

Happy eating! Happy reading!
Happy giveaway entering (if you like free books-- and really, who doesn't?)
