Solving the stuffed animal situation

I have a new favorite book: How to Clean Your Room in 10 Easy Steps by Jennifer LaRue Hugent illustrated by Edward Koren.
This book hits the mark!  It's HILARIOUS because its ALL TRUE.
#5 Carefully arrange all your stuffed animals on your bed.

This will take a very long time because you've been given
lots for every birthday and holiday since you were born.  So
that's like three gazillion stuffed animals in all.

I don't know how it is at your house... but that's EXACTLY how it is here.

Example #1 The Boys Room:
Example #2 Miss Kittens Room:
The next page in the book goes on to say...

Your mother might come in and say, "Sweet Pea, maybe you should think about getting rid of some of those old animals.  How about that silly rabbit who's missing one eye and part of an ear?"  If this happens, hug that rabbit tight and cry, "NO!  Not Poofball!  She's my favorite bunny in the whole wide world!"  When you mother has left the room, toss Poofball back onto the heap and forget about her.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else???  Well the stuffed animal situation has been getting out of control around here for some time.  But then I saw this idea at Pink and Green Mama right here.  In that moment I knew I had to give it a shot.  Let me tell you... bean bag slip covers made into stuffed animal storage = shear brilliance!!!  I looked around online for a while finding the right covers for us.  In the end I decided to go with Etsy.  I found the perfect covers at this amazing shop cherijame (btw she has lots of really cool stuff in her shop and I can't tell you enough about the beauty and excellence in both quality & construction of the bags I ordered- absolutely fantastic!).

Look how they came to me... Isn't that wonderful?

All the way from Thailand!  Look at that cool stamp!  (I just had to add that in.)

And here we have it... stuffed animals transferred from floor, under beds, on beds and in nearly useless totes into bean bag covers.  Now the stuffed animals storage isn't IN THE WAY like before.  Now it's cute, its practical (useful even) and adds to the rooms.
Oh, and did I mention it's fun too?

PS Our new storage has been in action for a couple of weeks now and it's working really well.  The kids still play with their critters all the time but they are easy to get in and out of the bags.  Really this solution has been wonderful for us!

Oh and be SURE to add 'How to Clean Your Room in 10 easy steps' to your library list... SO FUNNY!
