Meet Thomas

First off, this post is not about a blue train, in case you were wondering with that title.  Next, (I am always so loaded with disclaimers aren't I) this isn't necessarily a Halloween book, but part of it does take place at Halloween and it has all the fun of dressing up and trick-or-treating. 

Okay, now that we have that out of the way.  Here is a cute book about making new friends.  We checked it out from the library randomly a few years ago and I have been remembering it ever since. I was finally smart enough to place a hold this year... 

A Tiger Called Thomas by Charolette Zolotow

Thomas has just moved to a new neighborhood and he is worried that no one will like him.  He spends his days sitting on his stoop and is never brave enough to venture into the neighborhood, until Halloween comes around and he can hide behind his tiger mask.  What Thomas the tiger discovers puts a smile on his face, and it will put one on your face too. It's a sweet little story with a Halloween twist.
